Kenn Chase
Kenn Chase is an acclaimed Yang Style Tai Chi teacher and certified Feldenkrais Practitioner with over 40 years teaching experience.​

Background: As a graduate student in philosophy he was intrigued by Eastern Philosophy, which led him to study Tai Chi with Master Kam Man Choy in San Francisco in the late 1960's. In 1969, he became the first Tai Chi teacher at Esalen Instititute in Big Sur, CA where he studied with and taught mind body masters including; Moshe Feldenkrais, Fritz Perls, Charlotte Selver and Ida Rolfe. He is one of the only Tai Chi teachers who is also a certified Feldenkrais practitioner. He has combined the knowledge gained from these early teachers into his unique teaching method - Integral Way Tai Chi.

European Connections: Through connections at Esalen, Kenn was invited to teach in Europe and spent many years living and teaching in Amsterdam, London, Paris and Germany.

Integrated Medical Care: In 1979, Kenn introduced Tai Chi, for the first time in the United States , to the Cardiac Rehab Program in Oakland, CA. The calming meditative movements brought a new dimension to healing cardiac patients and the concept grew. He began teaching in Napa and Sonoma where he met his wife, Vicki. Together they developed and taught stress management courses combining their expertise. Clients include Bay Area hospitals and rehab programs. YMCA's, corporations and community groups. They developed the first community based Heart Disease Reversal Program which served over 800 clients from 1993-2011.

Currently: Kenn offers weekly, ongoing classes in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Private and/or corporate classes by appointment.
